Classroom Benefits

"How's The Weather?" is a soothing song for talking about the weather. We keep it simple with four terms for describing the weather: sunny, rainy, cloudy, and snowy. These are the easiest weather concepts for toddlers to understand, and they are easy to gesture too! This song is a great lead-in to further discussion of weather and weather-related terms.

It's also a great chance to practice responding to simple yes/no questions. During the pause after the questions, "Is it sunny/rainy/cloudy/snowy?" children have time to do the gesture, and also answer the question with a "yes" or "no" or a thumbs up or thumbs down.
